Policy Scholars Institute Publishes Client in The Washington Post

Client provided concept, PSI did the rest

Our staff published a client’s op-ed in The Washington Post and he “couldn’t be happier” with the results. Our client explained his concept, and Policy Scholars Institute scholars produced a first-rate op-ed that influenced hundreds of thousands of people. The client is the only credited author of this op-ed because he utilized one of PSI’s core services: ghost writing. Through complete confidentiality, Policy Scholars Institute earned our client exclusive attribution from a world-renowned newspaper.

Our client is passionate about changing public policy and American attitudes. However, his background is not in public policy, research, writing, and media relations. So the client hired our scholars who are experts in just those areas. “It’s like magic to me. I would have never known how to do it,” expressed the client. He was especially pleased that The Post’s editor said that this article received “a solid response” that included over 1500 comments. Shortly after, a radio show host requested to interview our client. With media training from Policy Scholars Institute, he delivered a stellar interview. That appearance allowed our client to multiply his reach. And so did over 120,000 social media shares including 17 journalists, eight newspapers republishing the op-ed in full, and one citation by another writer. And our process requires almost nothing from our clients. Our team of scholars research a client’s idea; write first-rate op-eds; edit them; hire peer reviewers; tailor the piece to publishers; pitch the op-ed; and manage the ongoing correspondence with newspaper editors. Far from mercenaries, PSI scholars conduct preliminary research of client concepts that allows them to discard non-scholarly assertions. Through this process, Policy Scholars Institute maintains both the integrity of our scholars and that of our clients. Our scholars collaborate with think tanks, associations, universities, foundations, and individuals. Our staff takes ideas to publication—and everything in between—in the form of op-eds, legislative primers, and ghost writing on any topic. Our nonpartisan policy experts have worked at leading think tanks, studied at first-rate universities, and published in international outlets.
